Gene Allen Hause
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gene Allen Hause, who tragically lost his life in a boating accident on June 8th, 2024 at age 68. Born on November 8th, 1955 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Gene lived a life filled with service and dedication to his family and church community.
Gene was a cherished member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, known for his warm smile and generous time spent serving others. He also spent many years serving in the Chicago Illinois Temple doing genealogy.
In addition to Gene's dedication to others, he also took meticulous care for his yard and garden, often sharing the fruits of his labor with friends and family. His deep love the outdoors, particularly fishing, brought him peace and joy, especially on Lake Owen — a passion he cherished and shared with loved ones. His tragic passing leaves an irreplaceable void, but his legacy of kindness will forever endure in the hearts of all who knew him.
Gene was reunited with his parents, Shirley and Harold Hause, his brother James and his sister Joyce, along with many other beloved relatives who passed before him. He is survived by his cherished wife of 46 years, Shauna, his children Keith, Jerry and Melanie (Noah Watkins), and his three grandchildren, Emmett, Cooper and Lily. He will also be deeply missed by his brother Gary (Toni), and a wide circle of friends and extended family.
A memorial service to honor Gene Hause's life will be held on Thursday, June 20th at 7:00pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 9600 W. Grange Ave, Hales Corners, WI 53130. Visitation will be held before the service from 5:00-6:45pm.
Family and extended family are invited to an Interment service and luncheon on Friday, June 21st at 11:00am at Highland Memorial Park, 14875 W. Greenfield Ave, New Berlin, WI 53151. The luncheon will be held immediately after at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 9600 W. Grange Ave, Hales Corners, WI 53130
