Dear father to Kathleen Farstad, of Cheyenne, WY, Kristine Smith of Okauchee, WI (fiancé Jonathon Long of Kenosha), Larry (Jodie) Guhr, of Mesa, AZ, and Cindy (Daniel) Thiel, of Muskego, WI. Admired and loved grandfather to Joseph (Haley) Farstad, Samuel (Amy) Farstad, Angela (Richard) Vizier, Jeffrey Smith, Robert Smith, David (Tracy) Smith, Jeannina Smith (Cosmin Dobrescu), Daniel (Melissa) Tanton, James Guhr, Christa Bansemer, Sarah Thiel, Benjamin (Angella) Thiel, Anna (Michael) Schmidt, Luke Thiel, and 21 great-grandchildren. George served his nation and his community in many ways: He served as a SSGT specializing in Chemical Warfare in England during WWII. He was the owner of Master Sales Inc., and Co-founder of Stoney Creek Adult Community. He served on the Muskego Norway School District for 21 years, and was the Waukesha County Board Supervisor for 14 years. He was a member of the Muskego Chamber of Commerce, Muskego American Legion, Kiwanis Club, WCTC Board, National Board for Lutheran Boy Pioneers, and lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Muskego. He earned his GED at age 79.Cemetery:Burial with military honors will immediately follow.Visitation:Visitation will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, S66 W14325 Janesville Rd., Muskego, on Friday, August 16, from 12-2:45 PM.Service:Service at 3PM.
