George W. Mech was taken to his Risen Savior on April 11, 2018, at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Marian (nee Voges) for nearly 69 years, George is also lovingly remembered by his children, Rev. Gregory (Karen) Mech of Joplin, Missouri, Kathleen (Don) Wambold, Mukwonago, and Daniel (Diane) Mech of Greenfield, WI.George served in the Navy (Pacific theater) for four years during WWII, and then was employed by InRyCo Steel for 38 years. He was a longtime member of Hales Corners Lutheran Church. George is predeceased by 4 brothers and 7 sisters, and is survived by his wife and children, 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The family thanks the staff of Zilber Family Hospice for the amazing and compassionate care they showed George and his family during his final conflict.
