Loving husband of Gail for 61 years. Beloved father of Cheri (Gregory) Mann, Linda Prostek, Jacqueline (Ronald) Salava, Patrick (Toni) Burns, Susan (Dennis) Marquard, Carol Lynn (Marc) McTrusty, David Burns, Joseph (Jennifer) Burns, and Jayme Burns. Cherished grandpa of Stephanie (Michael), Sean (Laura), Caitlin (Ian), Noah, Brian, Stephen (Autumn), Christina (Daniel), Abigail (Jordan), Carlie, Eric, Nicole, Samantha, Jonathan, Hannah, Caleb, and Ryan. Great-grandpa of Emma, Logan, Elena, Grace, Norah, Gabriel, Dominic, Jesse, Izabella, Liam, Isaiah, and baby boy Salava. Dear brother of Richard Burns.

Jerry worked for many years a transit driver for Milwaukee County. He became an Ordained minister and enjoyed pastoring and using his God given talents to minister to people for most of his life. He was an avid arborist and landscaper. He enjoyed rooting for the Milwaukee Brewers. Mostly, Jerry will be remembered for his love of family and for his love of Jesus.

A visitation will be held at Poplar Creek Church, 17770 W. Cleveland Ave., New Berlin on Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 4 pm to 6:45 pm. Funeral Service 7 pm.
