Gerald (Jerry) Porter, (71), Greenfield, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2018. He was born February 5, 1946 in Belvidere, Illinois and grew up on a farm near Thorp, Wisconsin. Jerry is a US Army veteran. He worked as an accountant and real estate investor. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Rex and Beverly Porter and his in-laws Joseph and Lucille Keyes.He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Mary, and his dear children Christina (Tom) Diener of Cedarburg, Ryan (Katie) Porter of Roswell, New Mexico, and Jeff (Andrea) Porter of Middleton. He is further survived by his cherished grandchildren: John, Katie, and Clare Diener, Allison and Nathan Porter, and Evalynn Porter. Also surviving are Jerry's 12 siblings: Cynthia, Pam, Melissa, Joel, Debbie, Teresa, Linda, Jason, Rex Jr., Sheila, Aaron, and Brian and many other relatives. Visitation at St. Mary Catholic Faith Community Church, 9520 W. Forest Home Ave. on Thursday, February 8th from 9 to 10:45 AM. Funeral Mass 11 AM. Private burial at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery with full Military Honors. Hartson Funeral Home is serving the family.
