Gertrude "Trudy" T. Sponder Passed away peacefully in the loving arms of Jesus Saturday, June 23, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at the Pavillion at Glacier Valley Nursing Home at the age of 97 years.Beloved wife of 52 years of the late Edward J. Sponder; loving mother of David Sponder, Michael (Holly) Sponder, Christine (David) Paschal, Patricia (Tim) Bade, and Larry (Kathy) Sponder. Treasured grandmother of Joshua (Stephanie) Sponder, Bryan Paschal, Michelle (Brent) Matusin, Austin, Nolan, and Jessica Bade. Jessica, Becca, Deanna, and Emma Sponder. Cherished great-grandmother of Angelina, Paisley, Magnolia, and Sawyer. Further survived by many other loving relatives and friends. Trudy was preceded in death by her parents Valentine and Nellie Komas, her brother Val, and sister Alice (Otto) Madritsch. She was known for being a devoted wife and mother who loved polka music, the Lawrence Welk show, playing cards, working jig-saw puzzles, and was a huge Milwaukee Brewers fan. The family would also like to give a special thank you for the loving care provided by Horizon Hospice Care. A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. followed with a memorial service at Hartson Funeral Home. Entombment will be private.
