Gina R. Cavalco

Germantown – Born August 3, 1989, lost her 2 yr. battle with cancer on July 2, 2021, at age 31.

Gina is survived by her fiancé Tom Topczewski, her parents William and Dawn (nee Blackburn), her brothers Dominic (Jade) and Joseph, her nieces Arielle and Zoey, nephew Vincent, and long-time friend Elizabeth Merriman, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Gina was a graduate of UW-Platteville with a BS – Animal Science and a graduate of UW-Stout with an MS – Technical and Professional Communication. She worked for BMO Harris and Associate Banks as a technical writer.

Gina loved all types of music. She played the violin in school and was 2nd chair in the high school orchestra.

Gina loved to read and binge-watch old TV shows. She was the life of any party and had a quick sense of humor. She cared deeply for others and was always willing to help a friend. She enjoyed her 'up-north' trips with Elizabeth. She liked to take pictures of everywhere she went, including old, abandoned places.

Gina loved animals, especially her dogs Stewart and Stella and her cat Levi. Some of her best memories were from her time helping the animals at the vet clinic.

A memorial gathering will be held from 2 to 4 pm on July 26, 2021, at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W Janesville Rd, Hales Corners, WI.
