Glenn Duane Meyer passed quietly December 29th, 2023, he was 92.

Loving son of the late Walter & Gertrude (Alorie) Meyer, his late sister Phyllis Mae Meyer Hook Froelich and is survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, great grand nieces and great grand nephews.
He served as a photographer in the Counter Intelligence Corp, stationed in Tokyo during the Korean Conflict. As such, he wore civilian clothes, addressed his ℅ by his first name and had a Japanese chauffeur with a new '52 Chevy to take him wherever he wanted to go. He had a houseboy for chores and reported GI's were treated like royalty in the city, with only one actual rule…be off the streets by midnight. It was some of the best times of his life.
Glenn was a proud, life-long Teamster, beamed when reliving his exemplary safety record, and would tell anyone who would listen about his 34-year retirement. He enjoyed numerous relationships with customers, and described the life of a truck driver as "driving around visiting friends."
Living most of his life in Wisconsin, cold weather didn't agree with him so he & Marilyn wintered in the Florida Keys for thirty years. He was a Packer fan from the Bart Starr era on.
Fitness was always an interest for Glenn. Earlier in life he loved ping-pong, he water-skied in his sixties and jogged, worked-out and did his own landscaping into his eighties.
He built a 2-car garage from scratch, remodeled & reconfigured his 1848 farmhouse down to the studs and refurbished an old barn.
Glenn would wax poetically about his El Dorado, De Villes & Fleetwood Cadillacs, as well as a number of upscale Buicks. He was an early-adopter of motorhomes and later travel trailers.
His final years were made sweeter by his faithful Boston Terrier, Daisy.
A Military Honors Service is planned for later in the year.
