Age 92, Elm Grove-formerly of Hales Corners, died peacefully at home on Tuesday May 30, 2023.

Gloria was born on July 18, 1930 to the late William and Cecelia Walsh. Gloria's husband of 57 years, Emmett W. Jones, preceded her in death as did her brothers and sister.

Dear mother to Janice Jones and Jeffrey Jones (Kim). Very proud grandmother to Christian and Evan Diehnelt and Jenna, Julia, Jillian, Lauren and Gia Jones.

Visitation Saturday June 10, 2023 from 2-4pm with service immediately following at the Hartson Funeral Home at 11111 West Janesville Road, Hales Corners, WI 53130.

Gloria was an amazing homemaker, volunteer and friend. Gloria enjoyed her work at Boerner Botanical Gardens where she was the Adult Education Coordinator. Gloria enjoyed gardening, traveling, playing bridge and filling her home with beautiful art work. Gloria served on the National Board of the Herb Society of America, was a docent at the Milwaukee Public Museum and was a member of the Tuesday Club at the Woman's Club of Wisconsin. Gloria volunteered for many organizations throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. Gloria had a passion for reading and helped develop the Hales Corners Village Library.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Catholic Charities of Milwaukee where Gloria enjoyed attending adult day care in her final years.
