Gordon Joseph Dejewski passed away peacefully with family by his side on April 18, 2018 at the age of 85 years. Gordon and Barbara were married on November 8, 1958 at Saint Gregory's at 60th and Oklahoma, they were together nearly 60 years. Members of Holy Ghost, Saint Barbara's and Saint Rita's (22 years) where he was an usher.Gordon will be missed by his wife Barbara, his four children; Cheryl (Tom), Dan (Linda), Tim and Andy (Melinda); three grandchildren; Zander, Nathan and Clare, he loved them dearly.Gordon spent many Summers at his Auntie Helen's cottage at Pewaukee Lake where he enjoyed fishing and nature. He especially liked driving through Whitnall park looking for deer. He also enjoyed watching Brewer and Packer games, loved listening to Jazz and played the saxophone in a band.Gordon attended Grant Street elementary school, Walker Junior High School, Pulaski High School and MATC. He worked for 30 years for the City of Milwaukee as a heavy-duty mechanic. Gordon served stateside during the Korean war.Gordon had lots of friends (some for 80 years). Gordon and Barbara went dancing at the Eagle's Ballroom to big band music. Gordon and Barbara often enjoyed going to concerts, dining and vacations with close friends.Gordon always loved celebrating the holidays and birthdays with family, he was a good Catholic, loving husband, father and grandfather and friend. Visitation Wednesday, April 25th, 9 AM to 10:30 AM, St. Rita Parish, 2318 S. 61st Street, West Allis. Memorial Mass at 10:30 AM.
