Obituary

Gordon Kraemer, 94, passed away during the early morning hours of March 3, 2026

Preceded in death by his wife, G. Elaine.

Survived by Duane Kraemer, brother. Elaine Stubblefield, sister. Three children, Lori (Chris), David (Jackie) and Brad. Five grandchildren, Kate(John), Kelly (Will), Abby, Alex and Josh and four great-grandchildren.

Gordy, also know as “Mr. Bow Tie” in the Greendale School District where he was the audio-visual director for over 30 years. Gordy was the kind of man if you asked for the time he would tell you how to build the watch. He could tell endless stories of growing up on the farm with “A bath with a path”, and no electricity or running water. As a child he could drive a tractor but got carsick when riding in the car on the way to school.

As an Army Veteran that would faint at the sight of blood, the Army made Gordy a medic.

Forever curious about many things, his lifetime spanned from no electricity to computers. He built their home in 1967 and continued wood working throughout the years. As computers emerged Gordy embraced this new technology and continued learning till the end. This love of learning is something he passed on to his children. As his children had children he delighted in visiting the grand kids.

Moon Beach Camp was also a big part of the Kraemer family. We visited every year faithfully since 1967. As the kids left home, Gordy and Elaine were free to travel and experience many things.

They are together again experiencing the next big adventure.

Memorial Service May 9th, 11:00am at the Greendale Community Church, UCC, 6015 Clover Lane, Greendale, WI.
