Passed away peacefully on November 16, 2021 at the age of 86.

Gordie attended West Division High School where he met the love of his life, Janet. They married on February 15, 1958 in Columbia, SC where he was stationed in the US Air Force.

He dedicated 24 years to the military, moving often, raising their four girls and making lasting friendships and memories.

After retiring from the Air Force he began working for the US Postal Service, where he was employed until he retired in 1986. He enjoyed many years of retirement, spending his time with friends and family, golfing, re-gripping golf clubs, traveling, making carpet coasters, popsicle stick emery boards and disassembling clocks.

Gordie is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Lucille Rand, his sister Nancy Rand, wife Janet and life long friends Jack and Louise Schultz.

He is survived by his daughters Linda (Kevin) Rhodes, Kelli (Jeff) Stolen, Patti (Jeff) Taugher, and Terri (Kurt) Kreutzer, along with his seven grandchildren Jamie (Tim) Griffith, Sean, Cory and Adam Rhodes, Steven and Jared Stolen, and Kaitlyn Kreutzer.

Our Family would like to thank everyone at Matty's Bar and Grille for giving our dad a second family and a corner seat. He loved you all.

Visitation Monday November 22nd at Hartson Funeral Home from 3 to 5 pm. Service at 5 pm.
