Yorton, Greg F. Went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Ilona (nee Toro), for 52 years. Best dad to Jeffrey of Waukesha, Suzanne (Kevin) Griffith of Waukesha, and Michael (Robin) of Eagle. Proud grandpa of Benjamin (Kelli) Griffith of Atlanta, Jennifer (Thomas) Fritz of Big Bend, Abigail, Grace, Elizabeth, Olivia and Samuel. Proud great-grandpa of Calla and Olive Fritz. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Greg proudly served his country during the 1950's in the United States Army. He then worked as a maintenance mechanic for Bucyrus-Erie, in South Milwaukee, as a member of the Steel Workers Union for 44 years. He retired and spent the last 12 years on Cochran Lake (the Minocqua area), spending much of his time enjoying the Great North Woods. The family expresses deep gratitude to the compassionate staff of Waukesha Memorial Hospital, and Oncology Alliance, for the care given to Greg in his last days.Memorials:In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society for lung cancer.Visitation:Memorial Gathering at the Funeral Home on Sunday, August 30, from 1-3PM.Service:Memorial Service 3PM.
