To Be FreeGregory A. Holder(September 1959 – February 2018)Do not grieve for me, as I am free and following the path God has laid you see. I took His hand when I heard Him call; I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work, to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, as I found peace at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, please fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss. Oh, yes these things I too will miss. My life was full; I savored much - Good friends, good times, and my loved one's touch. Lift up your hearts and peace to thee, God wanted me now and set me free. On February 13, 2018, Gregory peacefully departed from earthly constraints and lifelong health issues as our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, welcomed him Home. Preceding him in the journey Home, Gregory reunited with his mother Bessie Lee (Sanders) Holder, father Hamp Holder as well as many other relatives and friends. Gregory leaves behind his cherished sweetheart and beloved life partner of twenty-two years, Philomena. He will be dearly missed by his children Andre' (Angela) Holder and Danielle Holder along with his grandchildren Andrea and Isaiah. Sisters' Denise (Willie) King, Josephine (Samuel) Powell, Barbara (Samuel) Lawrence, and brothers' Ronald, Bernard, Anthony Holder, a host of relatives and loving friends survive Gregory.A Celebration of Life in honor of Gregory in being planned for the future.
