Harry Louis Behrens
Passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the age of 94. Beloved husband to Audrey for 69 years; father to sons Michael and the late David, and daughter Lynn Somers; grandchildren, Lisa Petrie, Heather Mengel, Rebekah Somers and Jeffrey Behrens; further survived by great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
After serving in the Navy from 1940 to 1948, Harry worked for several manufacturing firms in the areas of production control and purchasing, ending at Hein-Werner Corp. in Waukesha as Director of Purchasing. After retiring from manufacturing, Harry began a second career in government where he was elected to the positions of Town Chairman of the Town of Brookfield and County Supervisor on the Waukesha County Board.
A private, family memorial service will be held.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Zablocki VA Medical Center for their care and compassion.
