Hauk Hartman was born on October 31st, 1998, to wonderful parents Robert Hartmann and Melissa Metoxen. Hauk went on to have two younger sisters, Isabella, and Rayna. On November 3rd, 2025, three days after his 27th birthday, the Hartmann family lost Hauk to suicide. Hauk is now united with his Mother, Grandpa Eddie (Pops), and his uncle Jim. His godparents Tom and Lisa Hartmann, along with his uncle Michael and grandfather Rodger, will remember Hauk fondly.
After graduating from Franklin High School, he went on to bless many with his advanced carpentry skills. He enjoyed spending time outdoors with his beloved friends fishing and trap shooting. He adored spending time with children and animals. Hauk will forever be remembered for his strength, compassion and sense of humor. Loved by so many, Hauk helped lift everyone around him. We will forever cherish memories like neighborhood nerf toy gun wars, family camping at Peninsula State Park and annual family trips to the Wisconsin Dells.
We acknowledge that Hauk struggled with alcoholism, a battle that was a significant part of his life. We will remember him not just for his illness, but for the good person he was. Hauk will always be a part of us and the community, and we will honor his memory by continuing to fight against the stigma of addiction and by supporting those who are on the path to recovery.
Join us in remembrance on November 17th, at Hartson Funeral Home, 3-5pm. Service will begin at 5pm.
