Hazel Hurum 1920-2019
Died October 15, 2019 at the age of 99 in Pewaukee. Born July 28, 1920 in West Allis to Frank and Marie Kiefer. Predeceased by her husband of 48 years Walter, her son Walter, and her siblings Harry Kiefer and Beth Rudell. As a survivor of the depression and a member of the Greatest Generation she was resilient to life's many challenges. She became an accomplished seamstress and cook.

Hazel was a loving wife and supportive mother. Hazel was an optimistic woman who leaned upon her faith to support her throughout her entire life. She will be remembered for her smile and joy of life, love of cats and sense of humor.

Hazel is survived by her daughters Donna Niedermair and Becky (Chris) Hurum-Ray, her grandchildren Deanna (Jeff) Hurum, David Hurum, Marissa and Michael Ray, Candace and Cybelle Carson and Jenniver (Chris) Turia. Also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 18th at 4 PM at Kirkland Crossings, 700 Quinlan Drive, Pewaukee, WI 53072.
