Glaspey, Helen V. (Nee Martin) Died peacefully on October 21, 2010, at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Glaspey, her son Ric Glaspey (Vietnam veteran KIA) and granddaughter Elizabeth Helen Huber. Helen is survived by her daughter Penye Q. (Don) Davis, son John C. (Mary Jo) Glaspey, 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and a multitude of beloved nieces and nephews. Helen was born in North Dakota and lived most of her childhood and adult life in Mason City, Iowa (Meredith Willson's River City in "The Music Man"). She spent the last 5 years in Milwaukee and Waterford, WI. Helen was a full-time homemaker and a wonderful cook. She was an accomplished ice skater, loved to dance, and spent days (and nights) camping and fishing in Iowa, Colorado, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. She traveled throughout the United States in her later years and enjoyed musical and theatrical productions in Milwaukee, Santa Fe, Chicago, San Francisco, and New York City. Helen was an enthusiastic supporter of Milwaukee High School of the Arts and Milwaukee's Public Arts Specialty Schools.Memorials:Memorial donations can be made in her name to Catch a Rising Star Foundation (at MHSA, 2300 W.
