Hertha "Pat" Erna Ida Strube (nee Bethke)Born on September 18, 1921 and joined her beloved husband Marvin Lyle Strube in heaven on May 5, 2018. Pat loved her family which included children, Pam Mickelson, Dallas Strube, and Den Strube; grandchildren Casi Johnson, Niki Nuti, Cheyenne Heltemes, Dylan Strube, Sara Strube, Austin Strube, Allison Strube; and great-grandchildren Cali Heltemes, Colton Heltemes, Audrey Strube and Taylor Strube. Pat greatly appreciated the kindness of niece Jan and (husband Len) Mitchell who visited her often in her later years from Sioux Falls.Pat was the daughter of Mary (nee Tuenge) and Herman Bethke and grew up on a farm in Rolla, ND, moving to Sioux Falls when she was six where she later graduated from high school. Pat was the second youngest of fifteen children. Pat worked for the government in Washington, D.C. during World War II, marrying Lyle on November 14, 1943. Pat continued working for the government for 14 years.Pat and Lyle lived in Rockford, IL where they started their own business, retired to Longview, Texas, and moved to Muskego, WI in their last 25 years to be near family.Pat loved traveling, being involved with the church, roller skating, ice skating, dancing, doing crafts/ceramics, watching her favorite Wisconsin and Illinois football and baseball teams. She collected teddy bears and taught her kids to play serious cards to win. She could never get enough of being with her family. She had a sense of humor and loved to kid people. We will miss you Pat. Visitation Wednesday, May 9th, 11 AM to 12 PM, Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W. Janesville Rd, Hales Corners. Service at 12 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lutheran World Relief. Interment at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
