Hope K. Paul (nee Schlegel), of Milwaukee, WI, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the age of 89.

She was born on July 29, 1936, to Edward and Margaret (nee Weber) Schlegel. She was a graduate of Girls’ Tech High School and long-time member of their Alumni Association. During this time she met her would-be husband, the late Thomas Paul, and the two would be married in 1955.

Hope will be missed by her children Nadine (Gabriel) Reyes, Edward (Carla) Paul, and Margaret Paul; her grandchildren Rachel (Chad) Wheeler, Rebecca (the late Jeremiah) Clement and Gregory Reyes. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren Gabriella (Kaden) Hutchins, Adriana Reyes, Angelina Reyes, Jonathan Clement and Lilyana Wheeler; and other dear nieces and nephews.

Hope was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her four siblings Pauline, Earl, Audrey (George), and Paul.

When I’m lonely and I miss her

When I’m feeling sad

I simply remember I’m one of her favorite things

And then I don’t feel so bad

Visiting hours for Hope will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Hartson Funeral Home (11111 W Janesville Rd, Hales Corners WI, 53130). Funeral service will follow at 6:00 PM. Hope will be interred at a later date at Wood National Cemetery alongside her husband.
