Obituary

August 10, 1930 – April 06, 2023 Age 92

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the middle of the depression, by her single mom, Jackie learned independence and hard work. Discovering her talent in art she entered and won competitions. This artistic talent showed in her interest in fashion and beauty in everything around her. Shortly after WWII Jackie married Leroy Berglund. Like so many others during that time, innovation helped them provide for their growing family. Buying and selling antiques became a family affair.

Years later after her marriage to Lee ended, Jackie married Bill Hotzfeld. He brought three more lovely children into her life. They both made sure everyone was always included in vacations and activities.

Jackie worked at the Milwaukee County Court house as a professional clerical stenographer. Later she worked at the Milwaukee Sheriff's department, personal secretary to Sheriff Klamm, Sheriff Wolke and then for Sheriff Artisan before retiring.

Jackie dearly loved all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, always enjoying it when everyone came together. Jackie made these times special with her beautiful smile that always lit up the room.

Her cherished marriage to Bill was filled with travel, skiing, dancing, and exploring while living in Wisconsin and Florida. After retiring, Jackie was able to continue studying and perfecting her skills as a talented artist. These wonderful paintings and artwork won awards and have given us a lasting legacy of such a beautiful woman.

Jacqueline is survived by her children; Dean (Darlene) Berglund, Lynette (Donald) Busche, Janine Zacher, Terrence (Laura) Berglund, her stepchildren; Richard (Leslie) Hotzfeld, Valerie Hotzfeld (Jerry) Rosalius and Michelle Rybicki, and her siblings; Diane O'Shea, Mary (Dennis) O'Flyng and Mandrow Wenzel. Further survived by other relatives and many friends.

Preceded in death by her Parents Adam W. Moser and Clarissa R. Werkowski, her husband William N. Hotzfeld, granddaughter Jenna Lopez and grandson Christopher Otto, son-in-law Grant Zacher, brother-in-law Frank O'Shea and sister-in-law Gretchen Wenzel.
