Obituary

It is with profound sadness that the Driebel family announces James (Jim) E. Driebel passed away peacefully to the kingdom of God on October 19th, 2024.

Jim is survived by the love of his life, devoted wife of 32 years, and partner of 34 years, Julie Driebel. He is also survived by daughters Emily (Lukas) Schultz, Sara Driebel, Natalie Driebel, and beloved grandchildren Scarlett and Benjamin Schultz. Jim is further survived by dearly loved brothers, sister, parents in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends.

Jim was an avid fisherman, hiker, AEW wrestling watcher, "Club Cool" Bartender, Dallas Cowboys fan, metal listener, and most importantly, play partner with his grandchildren. He was often introduced by his well-earned titles "Dr. Cool" and "The Masterpiece;" names that suited his personality perfectly for decades.

Faith guided Jim's life and he was an active member of Whitnall Park Lutheran Church.

Jim has always been there to lend a hand and share a skill. He is deeply, wholly missed by many and his lessons will continue for generations.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at at 2 PM at Whitnall Park Lutheran Church, 5847 Lilac Lane, Hales Corners, Wisconsin

"Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away." Matthew 24: 32-35
