Obituary

James "Jim" Edward FischbachBorn January 3, 1949 and spiritually reborn the summer of 1973. Jim died October 31, 2017 after a 9 month battle with respiratory ailments and other compounding complications. Preceded in death by his parents Edward and Grace Fischbach, and his sister Virginia Dietz. Loving husband for 45 years of Maria Anna Fischbach. Beloved Dad of Debbie Fischbach, Paul (Heather) Fischbach, Mary (Erik Barr), Sarah (Justin) Grabko. Proud Opa to Nathan and Noah Fischbach, and Alec Barr. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff at St. Luke's South Shore, especially the ICU, for their compassionate care. Jim was admired for his great work ethic. He was a security supervisor for over 25 years. Jim had a great love for the Lord, for his wife and for his family. He enjoyed baseball and trivia, the Wisconsin Badgers, weekend get-aways with his wife, and using puns and telling dad jokes. Jim also enjoyed meeting with his Bible study group, volunteering at church, and driving for Interfaith.Visitation Saturday, November 4th, 1 PM to 3 PM, Hartson Funeral Home, Hales Corners. Service at 3 PM. Memorials to the Milwaukee Rescue Mission or to Samaritan's Purse.
