Age 60. Born into eternal life on March 10, 2020. Loving husband of Kim Schaffer. Beloved father of Ali Mrzljak, Luke (Emma) Gorst and Kyle Gorst. Dear son of Francis (the late Patricia) Gorst. Cherished brother of Ann (Glen) Wayer, Mike (Luanne) Gorst, and Mary Ellen (David) Richmond. Further survived by other family and many friends.

Graduate of "THE" UW. Member of Rotary Club of Springfield, MO and Springfield Regional Arts Council. He was also involved with Habitat For Humanity of Springfield. Jim was an avid sports fan particularly the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers.

Jim loved to travel and enjoyed golf and riding his Harley. Never missed a Shot Call.

A memorial gathering will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 16th from 3 to 6 PM. Memorial Service 6 PM.
