James Lee Kaddatz ("Jim")
Passed away peacefully on September 7, 2021, at Aurora St. Luke's Hospital (West Allis, WI), in the CICU. James went to be with his Lord at 7:12pm at the age of 58.
James was born on July 16, 1963, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to his parents Ronald and late Shirley Kaddatz. James is survived by his loving wife Cheryl Kaddatz, younger brother, Timothy (Patty) Kaddatz, and his uncle, Larry Kaddatz. He is also survived by his loving children Jessica (Brandon) Osterman, Kelly (Bradley) Ebener, Jordan Kaddatz, Kaila Kaddatz, and Brittany Gathje (stepdaughter). In addition, James is survived by nephew and niece, Brandon and Ashley Kaddatz, and his grandchildren Aiden Wagner, Hannah and Leah Osterman, Denver and Savannah Ebener, and Jaxson Sigler.
Although James left this earth too quickly, his beautiful life will always be cherished by those who loved and cared for him. James was passionate about his faith, listening to music, watching movies, spending time with family and friends, laughing, engaging in other hobbies, and throwing humor into every conversation. He was a loving and caring individual, a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. James always thought of those around him before himself and had a gentle spirit.
James's unfortunate battle of health issues started at the age of 16. Despite those challenges, he never lost his love for life and his drive to survive. To quote James from a "Heroes and Angels" excerpt, he wrote after his kidney and pancreas transplants:
"I was recently told that I have actually had 3 organ transplants. My kidney and pancreas of course, but I have also had a heart transplant. You see, I do truly appreciate life, and everything it has to offer, more than I ever did! I tell those around me often how much I love them and care about them. Simple things have more meaning to me now. I see the blessings God has given me and have been taught not to take anything for granted! All 3 of my organ transplants have saved my life in their own ways. Yes, there are Heroes and Angels all around us! I have found some of mine!"
James will forever be considered both a Hero and an Angel to many.
A visitation for James will be held at Hartson Funeral Home- 11111 W. Janesville Road, Hales Corners, Wisconsin. This will take place on Saturday, September 25, 2021. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 3:00pm, with a funeral service to follow.
