James D. Kurer

Kurer, James Douglas, age 64, of Muskego, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. He was born in Waukesha on October 13, 1961. The son of the late Clarence and Esther Kurer, he attended Muskego High School and retired 9 years ago from his job as an Operating Engineer at Meade Electric. He married Susan San Felipe at St. Peter's Chapel in Franklin on August 20, 2005. He loved auto racing, gardening, ice fishing, hunting, his dogs, and his grandchildren. Jim will be missed by all of his family and many friends. He is survived by his wife: Susan; his children from his first marriage: Jeremy (Mary) of Mukwonago, James Jr. (Robin) of Mukwonago, and Jake of Muskego; grandchildren: Justin, Anthony, and Georgia; mother-in-law: Patricia San Felipe; sisters: Kathy (Marc) Addis, Darleen (Ken) Baas, Susie (Gary) Kasch; brothers Ron (the late Mary) Kurer and John (Patty) Kurer; brother and sister in laws: Laura (Jim) Tresemer, Steve (Elizabeth) San Felipe, Paul (Julie) SanFelipe, John (Patti) SanFelipe, and Michael SanFelipe; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents: Clarence and Esther Kurer; father-in-law: Loren San Felipe; brother: Dennis; sister: Joyce (Howard) Rohda; sister-in-laws: Mary (Ron) Kurer, Toni San Felipe, and Linda San Felipe; nephew and godson: Joshua Kurer; niece: Lorri Kurer; grandparents and other relatives.
