James Mathe, age 52 passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 8th, 2019.

He was born on August 27, 1966 in Milwaukee. He attended college at U-W Milwaukee .

In 1997, he married Jen Mathe, together they have two children, Emmett, 16, and Ellie, 13, who share his love of gaming. He was a supporter of their many activities including dance, gymnastics and ski racing.

James' love of gaming and technology evolved into a career from a young age and he is well-known in the gaming community as both a player and even more so as a game designer and publisher. He was involved in many facets of the industry over the years.

James is preceded in death by his father, Donald. He is survived by his wife and two children, mother and brother.

He will be missed by all.

A Memorial Gathering will be held Friday, June 14, 2019, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W. Janesville Rd., Hales Corners, WI 53130, with a service at 4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions will be used for the children's education fund.
