James W. Schmid passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at age 88. Devoted and loving husband of 66 years to Regina Schmid. (nee Trzecinski).  Preceded in death by parents Ervin and Wanda Schmid.  Will always be in the hearts of his proud children, Kristine (Gregory) Nadolny, Daniel (Sharon) Schmid, and Robert (Margaret) Schmid.  Grandpa to Nicholas (Melissa), Joseph, Trisha (Franz), Tracy, Katherine (Ryan) and Rebecca.  Great-Grandpa of Henry, Ava, and Max, who were the light of Jim's life.  Brother of Richard (Clarice) and the late Thomas Schmid; loved by many other relatives and special friends. Jimmy was a selfless man who dedicated his life to caring for his wife, children, and grandchildren. No favor was ever too much trouble; no job was too big; no request was ever denied.  Dad found great joy in building anything; garage forts, tree houses, decks, even restoring old trucks.  His family relied on his expertise, skill, knowledge, and imaginative fun. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 28th, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial to be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish on Friday, May 29th, at 10:00 am, with celebrant and dear family friend, Fr. Joe Juknialis, followed by a procession to Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  Memorials to OLOL for the Food Pantry appreciated.
