Janet Marie Ferris (nee Petrie), a long-time resident of New Berlin, died peacefully on the 27th of January. Born in 1929, Sherwood, WI, Janet is preceded in death by her parents Leonard & Mary (Benzschawel) Petrie, her husband Robert M Ferris, and brothers and sisters Marcella Petrie, Bernita (Roman) Funk, Irving (Bertha) Petrie, Margaret (Robert) Schneider, Alice (Gerhart) Krueger, Harold (Rosemary Pawlowski) Petrie, Dorothy (Wayland) Preder, and Anthony (Barbara) Petrie.Janet is survived by her children Darlene (Thomas) Petri, Chris (Warren Kloner) Ferris, Carolyn Ferris Campeaux, and Mary (Erik) Treba; grandchildren Jessica (David) Moreau, Erin (Justin) Garzia, Erik (Crystal) Held, Travis (special friend Melissa Matthias) Treba, and Mitchell Treba; great grandchildren Gavin, Owen, Kristen, and Allison Garzia, Gwendolyn Jo Culbert, Aidan Moreau, and Charlotte and Owen Held. She is also survived by brother Paul (Eileen) Petrie, sister Shirley (the late Rod) Dobe, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Janet worked as a stay-at-home mother until her youngest was in high school when she earned her medical transcription certificate. She also enjoyed working at JC Penney in fine jewelry until she retired. Janet was a talented seamstress and artist having taken art classes creating many beautiful oil paintings.Visitation Wednesday, February 6th, 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., St. Mary Catholic Faith Community, 9520 W Forest Home Ave, Hales Corners, WI. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., followed with entombment at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, WI.
