Janice M. (Wagner) Bellman, lovingly known as "Auntie Jani," passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Ascension St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee — the very place where her journey began on October 4, 1951. Born to Eugene and Christine (Demski) Wagner, Janice filled her 72 years with love, laughter, and a generous spirit that touched the lives of many.
On October 3, 1989, Janice married the love of her life, John Bellman. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with adventure, joy, and unwavering devotion. John affectionately called her his "honey bunny," a fitting nickname for the warmth and tenderness she brought to their partnership. Their love was a true testament to the bond they shared, and Janice cherished every moment they had together.
A proud graduate of UW-Superior, Janice had a successful 39-year career with AT&T, where she thrived in various management roles. Her remarkable memory, creativity, and genuine thoughtfulness were qualities that set her apart, making her both a valued colleague and a beloved friend.
Janice had an insatiable curiosity for the world and a deep passion for travel, exploring countless beautiful destinations around the globe. Her heart, however, always belonged to her family. She treasured her role as Godmother to Kristin and Derek, and her kind, giving nature made her a friend to all who were fortunate enough to meet her. Janice never forgot a birthday, and her attentiveness to those around her made everyone feel special. A wonderful conversationalist and friend, she maintained many cherished relationships and friendships throughout her life, always brightening the days of those lucky enough to know her.
She is survived by her dear brothers, Jim Wagner, John (the late Cheryl) Wagner, and Bob (Denise) Wagner; nieces Kristin (Katie) Wagner, Kelly Wagner, and Lisa Geiger; nephews Kyle (Kim) Wagner, Derek (Steph) Wagner, Shawn Geiger, and Reese Wagner; and great-nieces Kahlyn, Brooklyn, Aliyah, Audrey, Layden, Mickelle, and Hope; and great-nephew, Braxx. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Bellman and her parents, Eugene and Christine (Demski) Wagner..
Her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered with warmth and affection.
