Jay R. Stanzer, age 55, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Ascension Hospital in Franklin. He was born in Milwaukee, May 16, 1968, the son of Sally (Speare) and Frank Stanzer.

Jay attended and graduated from Thomas Moore High School, then continued his education at University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Construction Management. He was a self-employed carpenter, who enjoyed the building/carpentry trade. Jay loved the outdoors, snow skiing, hiking and biking. He was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan as well.

Jay will be truly missed by all his family. He is survived by his parents, Sally and Frank Stanzer, siblings, Susan (Jeff) Schweitzer, John (Tarri) Stanzer, Patricia Stanzer, nieces and nephews, Jacob Stanzer, Jaclyn Stanzer, Cati (Tim) Euer, Jeffrey (Haylee) Schweitzer, Jonathan Schweitzer and great-nephews, Hudson Schweitzer and Weston Euer, and other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, October 16, 2023 at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W. Janesville Road, Hales Corners, WI 53130 with Pastor Rob Pilant officiating. Family and friends may gather for a visitation from 11:00 am ~ 12:45 pm.
