Jeananne Lorraine Danner (Nee Peters)Passed away of cancer March 21, 2016 at the age of 73. She was born September 1, 1942 in Ashland, WI to Harold and Lydia Peters who preceded her in death. Jeananne graduated from Bay View High School, and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She took her first professional job in Milwaukee as a Probation and Parole Agent with the State of Wisconsin, Division of Corrections, on February 1, 1965. She married Dennis A. Danner, who was also a Probation & Parole Agent, on October 14, 1967, a marriage that lasted for 25 years. They moved to Racine, WI in 1968 and she took a job with the Racine County Department of Social Services where she worked until their return to Milwaukee in 1971. Jeananne went on to earn her law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and later was appointed District Attorney of Ozaukee County. She left this position at the end of her term and was approved by the Supreme Court to become the Deputy Director of the Board of Professional Responsibility, later to be named the Office of Lawyer Regulation. Wherever Jeananne went she made friends, and once you were a friend of Jeananne's you were a friend for life. She loved to cook, read, and looked forward to her numerous social engagements. After her retirement she spent her winters in Destin, Florida, where not surprising, she made many friends with other snow birds. She will be terribly missed by all her friends as well as her relatives in Green Bay, WI. A special thanks to Barbara White and Ray Gingerich who attended to her every need during the months prior to her death. A private inurnment will be held at Fort Howard Cemetery in Green Bay, WI. A Celebration of Jeananne's life will be held April 17, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Gehl Club at Miller Park, One Brewers Way in Milwaukee, WI. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Habitat for Humanity – Milwaukee or the charity of your choice.
