Joanne M. Kempken, 93, of Hales Corners, passed away on March 28,2025 at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee.

Joanne was a strong, determined and fun-loving woman who lived life on her own terms. She especially enjoyed her annual trip to Las Vegas with her good friend Carol. Joanne was able to make her final trip to Las Vegas in 2024 with her daughter, Pam.

In her later years Joanne enjoyed going to breakfast with her niece, Jean and good friend, Jodie. Going to breakfast included rides in the country and a ride by to check on the home in Wind Lake where Joanne and Don raised their children. Each day her time was spent with canine friend, Shug. The two of them had a routine together that brightened Joanne's day and gave her purpose.

Joanne was preceded in death by her husband Donald, sister Genevieve and parents Eugene and Ella Tanner.

She is survived by her son Dennis (Sandra) of Winneconne and daughter Pam (Perry) of Hales Corners.

Additional family members important in Joanne's life, Jean (Tom), Jake (Jeff), Brooke (Joe), Jodie, Allison, Nash, Jack, Maxwell, Olive and Evan.

There are no plans for a public memorial service.
