JoEllyn Schultz
She has left. JoEllyn Marie Celestine Sandrin Schultz died on November 3, 2025. She was born on February 6, 1953, and leaves her husband, Dean, her daughters, Brooke and Angela (and their partners Tom Bolas and Gus Reed), her grandsons, Zander and Fergus, her sisters Karla and Cheryl, and her brother Joseph.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Luella, her brother, Steven, and her sister, Karen.
JoEllyn was a parent, a spouse, a psychotherapist, a friend and a proud liberal. She provided years of guidance and assistance to an entire community of people who reached out to her in times of crisis, when they were in emotional pain, when they needed guidance in relationships, during transitions in their lives, when they wished to share joy and happiness. The therapeutic community benefited greatly from her work: a wonderful legacy. A friend stopped by as JoEllyn slipped deeper into Alzheimer's, sat at the table, and told JoEllyn that her guidance had helped her become a healthy person.
JoEllyn also provided the underpinnings of both of her daughters' lives and their work. They follow her path of providing assistance to fellow humans on their journeys through life. She leaves friends and family who benefited from her thoughtful and graceful connections and who provided her with support and love in these last several years. JoEllyn believed in work, in being in charge, in reaching out to others, in generosity, in laughter and in maintaining friendships. She was a wonderful grandmother and an outstanding spouse.
A memorial gathering will occur on November 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Dean and JoEllyn's home followed by a luncheon. Bring your stories, anecdotes, memories and tall tales to share. Also, be prepared to help read those parts of the eulogy that Dean will be too overwhelmed to read.
