(nee Nicholson)A lifelong resident of the Milwaukee area, passed away at the Care-Age of Brookfield December 11th, 2016.  Johanna, mother of Dennis and Kevin and wife of Willard, was born in 1915 in Janesville, WI, and was the picture of tough elegance.  Johanna lived through polio, scarlet fever, the onslaught of technology, the raising of three boys, the loss of one of them, constant battles with garden infestations, and demanding grandchildren who just wanted a piece of bread while it was still hot from the oven.  All of which she managed with aplomb, sharp wit, lipstick, and a cup of tea.  Visitation at Hartson Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 20th from 4-6 PM.  Memorial service 6 PM.
