Mollwitz, John E. Age 66. Born into Eternal Life on August 26, 2009. Preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Dorothy, sister Nancy (Judge Mort) Colvin. Survived by step-sister Shirley Stuppan, and step-brother Melvin Tess. He will also be missed by many other relatives and friends. A graduate of Rufus King High School in Milwaukee, John also received two degrees from UW-Madison: BS in 1964 and a MA-Journalism in 1968. John launched his professional journalistic career as a reporter for the Wisconsin State Journal in 1966. A short time later, he began a 32 year career at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. John was a copy editor of the Journal's national and local news desks and assisted with development of the paper's suburban news sections and the start of its online operation. He was a strong proponent of the company's employee stock program and served on its Unitholders Council. He was a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, Sigma Delta Chi, and served as delegate for the National and District Conventions of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.Memorials:In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to: Calvary Lutheran Chapel Alumni Foundation Ltd., 701 State St., Madison, WI 53703 or Peace Lutheran Church, 17651 W.
