John Albert Reinke, age 81, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2017. John was born on June 11, 1936 to the late Dr. Christoph and Katherine (Nee Schramm) Reinke. He also joins his brother Christoph II and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Gloria Henn.John leaves behind his wife, Kathryn Henn-Reinke, son Jonathan, daughter Jaymienne (Lance) Holtz, and beloved grandchildren and playmates William and Evelyn, all of whom loved him dearly. John also leaves behind many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.John was a graduate of St. John's Military Academy and Northwestern University. He began his career as a social worker, moved on to become the assistant campaign manager at United Way of Greater Milwaukee, and later became a systems analyst with Johnson Controls and Miller Brewing Company.John was an active member of Faith/Santa Fe Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. For several years he served as treasurer for the congregation and was a member of the Endowment Committee, among other activities. He was proud of his military service in the Army Reserves where he reached the rank of First Lieutenant.John loved golf, vintage cars, model trains and traveling (minus the flying part), but mostly he loved people, which is why he leaves behind many relatives, friends, and fraternity brothers who will miss him dearly.
