Obituary

Passed away onto his next adventure on April 3rd, 2016 at the age of 88.  Preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Beverly Ann Schluge.  Loving father of Vicki (Bob) Kuenzi, Richard (Joanie Hawley) Schluge.  Proud Grandfather of Erika and Chelsea Schluge and step-granddaughters Krista (Paul) Bradley and Kayla Kuenzi.  Dear brother of Betty (Late Rudy) Kriss, Marie (Late George) Larscheidt, Late Jerry (Marie Schluge) and the Late brother-in-law Walter (Marilyn Mueller)Birk. Also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.      Geno was born December 17th to John and Anna Schluge in Milwaukee, WI.  He attended West Allis Central High School and went on to get a degree in Mathematics from UW-Madison.  He proudly served in the United States Navy.  He had a long and successful career in Manufacturing and retired from General Motors in 1993.     Geno loved to work on his house in Hales Corners and relax by the pool.  He enjoyed the Northwoods in Vilas County and was an avid fisherman.  He told many fishing tales over the years.. some of them true.  He was also a big fan of the Packers, Badgers, and Brewers.      We will miss Geno's warm smile, easy going style and sense of humor.  Our family wishes to give special thanks to the Tudor Oaks Health Center for their care and support.      A memorial gathering will be held on April 8th at Tudor Oaks Senior Living Community at S77W12929 McShane Dr. Muskego, WI 53150 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 4:30 p.m.    In memory of Geno, in lieu of flowers, a donation would be appreciated to the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.
