Born to eternal life on October 30, 2021 at the age of 36. Beloved son of Kevin and Karen Wolfmeyer. Best friend and beloved brother of Marie Wolfmeyer and brother-in law Vince Johnson. Adored Uncle of Owen Raymond Johnson and Hunter Dale Johnson. Visitation at the funeral home on November 12th, 5 – 7 pm, visitation on November 13th at 9:30 am at St. John's Lutheran Church in Brookfield, with service at 10:30 am. In addition to those listed above, John is survived by his Uncle Brett (Suzette) Olson of Farmington, MN, his Aunt Tamara Bissett (Paul Baker) of Madison, MN, Uncle Steve Wolfmeyer of Galliano, LA, Uncle David (Kim) Wolfmeyer of Green Bay, and his Aunt Darlene Shepard of Shakopee, MN. He is also survived by numerous cousins and extended family members.
John's life was centered around his family and his love for sports, especially baseball, football, basketball, soccer, and golf. While growing up, John enjoyed playing all of the above-mentioned sports, and also running cross country in high school. In adult life, he loved playing golf and was a passionate Brewer, Packer and Bucks fan. John loved attending Brewer games with friends, his dad, and all family members, and did so on a regular basis. He was not a casual fan, but instead was an "edge of the seat" fan, especially during playoff games. While John had a variety of jobs during his life, his favorite jobs were with the Milwaukee Bucks and Brewers in both the ticketing and marketing departments. John was very creative, whether it be a T-shirt design he created for the Bucks or marketing suggestions (ticket promotions and bobbleheads) he provided for the Brewers. John was also an excellent cook, frequently concocting new recipes and using his family as his "guinea pigs".
While John's passion was sports, his true love was his family, including immediate family, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandparents. He loved attending family outings and his younger cousins were often drawn to him. It was evident that he loved working with and interacting with them. But nobody was drawn to him more than Owen. John taught Owen how to play baseball and football, as well as how to root for the "right" teams. John's passion for sports was passed on to Owen, who will now carry that torch going forward. Most of all, John loved spending time and sharing his feelings and dreams with his best friend Marie. He also had a special relationship and bond with his Mom and felt at ease discussing his problems and dreams with his Dad. John was very generous and had a big heart. He was taken from us much too soon and will be terribly missed.
