Age 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 28th, 2024, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.
Joe was born on August 20th, 1949 in Milwaukee to the late Joseph and Rosemary (Zabkowicz) Adamczyk. After graduating from Milwaukee Boys Tech High School in 1967, he went to Milwaukee Area Technical College and was a member of the Tau Theta Epsilon fraternity.
In 1975, Joseph met Kay Bulman. He was united in marriage to Kay on July 17th, 1976 at Bryn Mawr Church in Cottage Grove. Joe and Kay went on to have three children and raised them in Muskego.
Joe retired from the US Postal Service in 2012. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cheering for his home state and local sports teams and bringing happiness to others. His devotion to putting others first, hard work and enjoying life has been passed down to his loved ones.
Those left to cherish Joe's memory include his wife of 47 years, Kay Adamczyk; three children, Brian (Angela) Adamczyk, Nicole (Mathew) Matarrese and Michelle Adamczyk; six grandchildren, Jackson, Liliana and Isabella Matarrese and Cameron, Tyler and Gracie Adamczyk; brother, David (Wendy) Adamczyk; sister, Janine Gittins; aunts, Theresa Zabkowicz, Diane Stein and Loraine Nisiewcz; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his uncle, John Zabkowicz and brother-in-law, Jeffrey Gittins.
Joseph's family will greet relatives and friends for a celebration of life on Saturday, February 8th, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W. Janesville Road in Hales Corners. A private service will be held for family prior to the visitation with a private burial at a later date at Cottage Grove Cemetery.
