Dec. 1, 2013 , at the age of 83, "Papa' decided it was time to join his lovely bride of 51 years after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. He was one of the strongest people we knew and he will be forever missed. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathleen and son Thomas. Loving father of Christine (Andrew) Murphy, Kate (Bill) Rilling, Michael and Steven. Beloved Papa of Taylor and Kaylee Murphy; Nicholas, Gabrielle and Nathaniel Rilling. Dear Uncle of Dean Perelli, Nancy Zarling and Lisa Perelli Moehn. Joe was a teacher in the Whitnall School District for 30+ years. He was a huge sports fan and enjoyed coaching, downhill skiing, > and was an avid golfer. Joe was also an award-winning photographer. Most of all, Joe enjoyed time with his grandchildren and traveling with his family.
