Passed away on January 4th, 2016.  Survived by spouse Joan (nee Ney).  Loving father to Julie (Jeffrey) Palkowski, Stephen (Cheryl), and Amy (Patrick) Berger.  Adored grandfather of Ryan and Carrie Polasky.  Further survived by his brother Raymond, sister Theresa Didenko, and sister-in-law Tillie Polasky.  Joseph served 32 years on the Milwaukee Police Department and also in the United States Marine Corps.  He was a committed advocate for fellow amputees and volunteered at several hospitals and Carroll College.  A visitation will be held at St. James Catholic Church, 7219 South 27th Street, Franklin, WI on Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m.In lieu of flowers or gifts to the family, please consider donating to the Wounded Warriors Project.www.woundedwarriorproject.org
