Joseph A. Stock was born and raised on a farm in Altoona, PA on 4/11/1942. He moved to Wisconsin with his parents Marcellus (Sal) and Rita (Kibler) Stock and his three brothers, George, Mike and Charles.
Joseph first met his future wife Judy in elementary school where he says she ignored him. They reunited in high school and started dating and were married on 4/20/1963. They settled in West Allis and had three daughters before eventually moving to Racine, WI for seven years. They returned briefly to the Milwaukee area before spending their remaining years in Waterford, WI.
Joseph started out working at one of the first McDonalds restaurants in the area, working his way up to Assistant Manager. He also worked for a number of years for JH Collectibles in Milwaukee before they closed for good.
Music was a large part of his life on the farm and later throughout the rest of his life. He was in a band with friends in high-school and he also made sure that his grandchildren were involved in school music programs and at home. He encouraged them to learn many different instruments including violins, guitar, and flute. He also played guitar and sang with his wife Judy at Marty's Restaurant during their Old Time Jams Night.
Joseph also was involved in teaching children about the fur trade era of the 1800's traveling statewide to many of the Mountain Man Rendezvous' that also traveled to different schools to teach children about life in those times. He received many letters from the children showing appreciation for what they had learned from "Coyote Joe". He also volunteered for the Lions Club due to having a granddaughter that had blindness issues in his appreciation to them for helping her.
Joseph is preceded in death by his parents Marcellus and Rita Stock, his brothers George (Mona) Stock and Michael (Joyce) Stock. He is forever reunited with his beloved wife "The Rose of His Heart" Judith (Judy) Stock.
