Obituary

Joseph W. WalkowskiOf Franklin, was born in Wausau, WI to Joseph A. and Zeferin Walkowski on May 24, 1939. He returned to his Heavenly Father and Savior on July 15, 2018. On February 3, 1962, Joseph was united in marriage at St. Mary's Church to Jude M. (nee Hintze) Walkowski who survives. Joe is further survived by his brothers-in-law Ralph Sanders of Wausau, Anthony Hintze of Chicago; sisters-in-law Jane Conteh-Morgan of Milwaukee, Norma Hintze of Potomac, MD; two nieces and five nephews; four great-nieces and one great-nephew, and family friend Gordon Simmons. Preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law Eric and Bernice Hintze, his sister Cecilia Sanders and infant sister Mary Ann brothers-in-law Donald Hintze and Seltzer Conteh-Morgan. Joe enjoyed spending vacations, traveling throughout the U.S. with Jude. After retirement he especially loved spending the winter months in Florida and working puzzles. He was a beloved husband and hunter, a fisherman, and a Packer and Brewer fan. Visitation Thursday, July 19th, 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM, St. Martin of Tours Parish, 7963 S. 116th St., Franklin. Mass of Christian Burial at 3:00 PM. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
