Joyce Jean Cottone (Nee Kurtz)Entered into eternal life Saturday, December 30, 2017, age 87 surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Anthony for 65 years. The love of her life and the sparkle in her eye. Loving mother of Jackie (Bruce) Peters, Greg (Debbie) Cottone, and Bob (Kathryn) Cottone. Dear grandmother to Chris (Jen) Peters, Ryan (Jaime) Peters, Josh (Val) Peters, Jenny (Steve) Hanke, Angie (Paul) Santarelli, Carrie (Kevin) Taylay. Dear great-grandmother to Carter and Casey Peters, Mila and Abel Peters, June Peters, Maddie, Kody, Tyler, Charlie and Riley Hanke, Vinny, Gio and Joey Santarelli, and Aiden Taylay. Preceded in death by parents, Edward and Elizabeth Kurtz, and Amedeo and Stephanie Cottone. Loving sister to the late Corrine, the late Lois (Bud) Daniels, Eileen (the late Edward) Makuski and Bob Peplinski, Delores Knutson, Barbara (the late Richard) Garske, the late Jim (Kathy) Kurtz. Sisters-in-law, Theresa (the late Joe) Gahl, Sandy (the late Bob) Kitchen. Also survived by many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart. Thankful for all her life-long friends, especially Josephine Picciolo. Joyce worked at Bordens and Honeywell. She was an avid walker, had a love for peanut M & M's, and word-search puzzles. Joyce always cried when reading any type of card, and was very sentimental. She loved life, her family and was more concerned about us until the end. Pancreatic cancer took her from us in a mere 20 days. Our special thanks to Aurora at Home Hospice, Home Helpers in Burlington, WI for their compassionate and gentle care of our mother and our family. They all helped make the quick and final journey peaceful and helped us in so many ways. Thank you to Fr. Al and Chaplain Angie for their spiritual guidance and prayers. Our mother went in peace when Dad reached down the ladder to take her hand for her last dance. Together at last.
