Joyce Elaine Kania, age 89, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025 with her loving family by her side.

Joyce was born on February 3,1935 to Mabel and Allen Bullis. Joyce was the youngest of four children. Joyce is survived by her children Tom (Vicky), Ron (Karen) and Cindy (Russell) Wikoff. Joyce is also survived by her cherished grandson Scott.

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Sr. and son Butch. (Kenneth Jr.)

Joyce devoted her whole career to St. Luke's Hospital, making valuable contributions across different departments before retiring from the family practice area. Over the years, she formed many cherished friendships that she often reminisced about with great affection.

In addition to her full-time job, Joyce was actively involved in the family farm by canning, gardening and caring for the animals. Joyce loved watching the birds, watching the Braves and the Packers, as well as creating latch hook rugs and solving Sudoku puzzles.

Joyce was a loving mother and a truly wonderful person. She was a mom right to the end, wanting to make sure her kids were OK and had happy lives. Her caring nature will be deeply missed.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the Aurora Zilber Family Hospice for their care and compassion in her final days.

The family is organizing a private service and burial.
