Julie Ann Daniels, born July 21, 1956, passed away on September 18, 2024, after a tenacious battle with ovarian cancer. She was 68 years old.
Julie earned her teaching degree from UW-Stevens Point and went on to dedicate 34 years of her life to teaching kindergarten. She retired in 2012 but continued educating as a substitute teacher for another 10 years.
While Julie loved inspiring young minds, she also loved using her sub funds to travel! Over the years she was able to visit Jamaica, Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Nashville, Arizona, Las Vegas and her favorite place of all, Disney World.
In January 2023 she was able to fulfill her dream of experiencing the Disney magic with some of her grandchildren and take one final trip with her husband Brad in December of 2023. Julie also loved to read, frequent Panera with her friends and spend time with her beloved grandchildren: Carter, Evelyn, Chloe, Brantley and Kopin.
Julie met her devoted husband Brad on Easter in 1984. They were wed in October of 1985 and were married for almost 39 years. Together they raised two wonderful daughters, Kersten (Evin) and Kaylie (Alex), who will carry on her legacy of kindness and strong work ethic, as well as her passion for education and love of children.
Julie also leaves behind her sister Cathy Tobalsky (Rick), sister-in-law Lesley Jacobs (Tim) and father-in-law Guy Daniels, as well as her dear niece and nephews, Eric (Miranda), Jayme (Anthony), Matthew (Kristi), Ben (Sydney), Greg and Chris.
Julie is preceded in death by her parents Stan and Andrea Hahn, brother Steven, who passed at birth and her mother-in-law Sharon Daniels.
A celebration of life will be held at Hartson Funeral Home on Friday October 11, 2024. Matthew Tobalsky will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1pm to 3pm with a short service held at 3pm. The celebration will continue at the Muskego Moose Lodge, S86 W21693 Janesville Rd, Muskego beginning at 5pm.
