Karen Marie (Frymark) Baemmert passed away on October 25, 2025 at age 83, from complications of dementia. She was born to Bernice (Steberger) and Rudy Frymark in Milwaukee, WI on July 30, 1942. She married Jerry Baemmert June 12, 1964 and shared 48 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on December 30, 2012. They raised a family of six children: Mike (Cindy), Dave (Stephanie), Joan (Jeff) Buske, Dan (Sheri), Eileen (George) Severson and Rita (Jim) Mitchell and had 10 grandchildren: Alex, Trevor, Ryan, Kyle, Nick, Matthew, Muriel, Gabe, Dylan, and Grace. Karen was a devoted wife, mom, and grandma. Her family was very important to her and it showed in all she did.
Treasured memories with her include trips to the pool when we were small, adventures to the apple orchard or potato farm and going "out to the lake", as well as her delicious Christmas cookies, German potato salad, and food on grill in the summer. She had a great laugh and she would playfully sing and dance, especially to songs by Queen and Fiddler on the Roof. Her grandkids remember her teaching them spelling words with song and how to bake butterhorns, cookies, and more. She went sledding and hopped in the lake with them, and shared trips to the Petit Center and Milwaukee County Museum.
She gave her talents and love to others. She made our friends feel welcome; they often stayed for dinner. She was kindly referred to as "Mrs. B." in the neighborhood. She drove us everywhere! She was our "college taxi"; she drove us to and from college all across Wisconsin at all hours and in all kinds of weather. She cooked meals for those in need, knitted blankets for the Milwaukee VA, and prayer shawls for her church, even at the beginning of her dementia.
She was always there for her family and others and will be greatly missed.
Visitation at 11 am -12:45 pm on Nov 4, 2025 at St Clare's Catholic Church (7616 Fritz St, Wind Lake, WI 53185) with Mass of Christian burial to follow.
