Knutson, Kathleen A.  (Nee Frye)  Age 84.  Of Greenfield, died peacefully on Monday, August 29, 2016.  She was born June 1, 1932 in Waukegan, IL, the daughter of the late Mearl and Margaret (Nee Larson) Frye.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Betty J. Frye.  Loving wife of Gordon for 60 years.  Cherished mother of Jeffrey Knutson, David (Cheryl) Knutson and Sandra (Michael) Roy.  Proud grandmother of Tina (Phil) Oblak, Kimberly (Rob) Thompson, Beverly (Matt) Koski, Emily Knutson, Andrew, Jacob, and Joseph Roy.  Great-grandmother of Micah & Myles Oblak, Mason Thompson and Anders & Adeline Koski.  Further survived by her beloved nephew, Daniel "son of Betty Frye" (Sharon) Morin, great nephews, Tom & Joe Morin, beloved cousin, Robert Christy and his son Scott Christy, along with other relatives and friends.  She was a devoted wife, mother and awesome homemaker!  An active member of Memorial United Methodist Church for many years.  In her earlier years she worked at Globe Union.  Kathleen was known fondly as "Cookie Grandma", and loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She collected ruby red glassware, tea cups, rocks and teddy bears.  She really enjoyed her friendships, flower gardens, visiting water falls, camping and traveling.  Visitation at the funeral home on Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 11 AM to 1 PM.  Funeral service 1 PM.  Interment to follow: Good Hope Cemetery.  If desired, memorials to Memorial United Methodist Church appreciated.
