Ken served in the US Navy and worked for Mrs. Karl's, where he was a Union Representative for Teamsters Local 344. He went on to work for Franklin High School, and later retired from Waukesha West High School.

Ken is survived by his wife of 62 years Pat Macy Friedewald; their four children, Matthew, Kathleen (Jeff) Kussow, Jennifer (Cameron) Smith, and Jeffrey (Deanna Pezzi) Friedewald; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Further survived by his brother Don (Melody) Friedewald, brother by choice Mark Hornburg, and many friends.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Eunice Friedewald and sister Ann Finley.

Ken enjoyed church choir, writing and performing in the church variety shows, coaching youth baseball and watching the Brewers. He was a celebrated artist, loved watching movies, playing golf, and reading.

A Visitation for Ken will be held at St Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 7963 S. 116th Street. Franklin, Wisconsin. The Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 AM with a Mass to follow.
